My main job relies a lot on using AI, so I was thinking, anyone here tried using AI for renders? I'm generally doing houses and buildings, so I was wondering how well the technology does this?

well, AI is a fantastic tool for early stage concept design. You can feed it a simple 3D model or even a basic sketch of a building and have it generate a dozen different stylistic options in minutes, everything from material palettes to overall ambiance. It's perfect for giving a client a quick visual direction.
However, for a final, photorealistic render where every detail matters, AI isn't there yet. It's best used as a supplemental tool for speeding up the initial part of your workflow

This is the kind of answer I was looking for. So it's more like, it gets the job done but it's missing the human touch? I'm guessing we'll start to see improvements in the future.

@Bulberbob exactly, that’s a good way to put it. AI can get the job done fast, but it doesn’t replace the nuance and judgment of a human artist. Should make your workflow faster though, especially for concepts and early drafts.

I use AI to speed up early concept shots, but I still tweak lighting, materials, and proportions by hand. It’s great for quick ideas, but not for final production renders yet.
Yeah, so a tool to speed things up, not a replacement, which is what some people fail to udnerstand
