3ds max containers are available in archviz and on paper it seems they can help out a lot, especially in my situation. The problem is that I'm reading many people complaining and saying they're struggling. Can anyone give me some insight and a straight answer? If they're usable, how can I utilize them to the fullest?

@Indigoback Yes, they are usable, but they come with quirks and aren't a magic bullet. People struggle because they can be buggy, tricky with certain modifiers/scripts, and sometimes cause crashes if not used carefully.
my tips are to stick to using them for static scene elements that don't need heavy modification within the main scene. Don't go crazy with complex modifiers inside the Container that interact heavily with the main scene

The problem is they don't always update cleanly and can bug out if you're not careful with file paths and references. The best way to use them?:
keep each container clean and lightweight, don't go too deep with nesting, and always save changes explicitly.

I see, so I shouldn't expect too much, thanks for that. What other options are available that might offer more? I'm not trying to be picky, just trying to see what my options are.
